TISBUS VISITS BOURNEMOUTH CARNIVAL
It’s taken a while but the sunshine has finally arrived and just in time – Tisbus has arranged a summer trip for it’s members to Bournemouth carnival. The carnival which begins on the 29th July 2011 and runs for a week will culminate on Sunday the 07th August with the carnival procession and crowning of the Carnival Queen with her attendants. Sunday 07th August is the day Tisbus have decided to have their outing, so that members will have the chance to experience the sand, sea shops, street entertainment and stalls as well as watch the renowned annual event with it’s creative array of spectacular floats – Make sure you have your cameras at the ready... The bus will begin pick ups at 11am and leave Bournemouth to return at 6pm. The cost of this fantastic outing is £11.00.
Tisbus will be running all it’s regular shopping trips throughout the summer months... (listed below). Remember Children’s travel costs are half fare, bus pass holders are free and if you have family or friends staying at your house, they can travel with you under your membership.
Every Tuesday .............. Salisbury leaves at 9.00am, return 12.50am leaves at 11.00am, return 2.50pm...........Cost £5.00
Every Thursday............. Shaftesbury leaves at 9.00am, returns at 12.30pm....Cost £3.00 First Friday of every month...Warminster leaves at 9.00am, returns at 1.50pm...Cost £5.00
The free Friday shuttle service has now come to an end of it’s trial period and it has been decided to adapt the service to become a doorstep collection (as our regular shopping trips are) which will cost £2.00 return, with pick ups beginning at 9.00am returning at 11.45am (route 1) and 10.15am returning at 1.15pm (route 2). You will need to phone Errolyn on 07500 802525 to book a seat.
Tisbus are currently recruiting drivers for our buses, we have positions for both paid and volunteer drivers. Tisbus has four minibuses varying from six to sixteen seated, which simply require a standard British driving lesson to drive.
